What’s a Pub Crawl?
A pub crawl is an organized event where people visit a number of pubs or bars in a single night, usually walking or traveling between them by public transport. Pub crawls are popular in many cities worldwide as they offer a cheap and easy way to drink in a large number of bars in a short time.
All in all, pub crawling is an incredibly fun activity you can do. You can enjoy great drinks and hang out with other amazing people who are also in it for a great time. Book a tour if you want to make the most out of a pub crawl. That way, you don’t have to worry much about what to do. How Do I Survive a Pub Crawl?
Here are some tips to help you survive a pub crawl:
1. Start Slow
Don’t try to keep up with the most hardcore drinkers on the crawl. They’ll always outdrink you unless you’re a hardcore drinker yourself. If you’re a newbie or just drink on occasion, you might find yourself with horrible feelings if you start drinking too quickly. It’s better to start slow and pace yourself.
2. Drink Plenty of Water
This is important for two reasons. First, it will help to prevent you from getting too drunk. Second, it will help keep you hydrated, making it easier to recover the next day. If we can recommend how much to drink, try and match how much you drank in alcohol with water.
3. Eat before You Start Drinking
A full stomach will help to slow down the absorption of alcohol into your system. So, make sure you eat something before you start pub crawling. It can be anything from your early dinner down to just some snacks. Eating along the way can also help, but don’t eat too much. With alcohol kicking in, you might start getting hungry due to its effects, so eating too much may lead to a bad time.
4. Pace Yourself
It’s important to remember that you don’t have to drink at every single bar you visit. If you’re starting to feel drunk, take a break and have a soda or water instead. While you might feel guilty about not drinking, don’t be. Passing out when you’re just looking to have fun is never fun, so practice self-control and pace your drinks!
5. Know Your Limits
Don’t try to drink more than you can handle. If you know you can’t handle your liquor, stick to beer or wine instead of hard liquor. We’re not saying you shouldn’t try new things, but don’t go hard on them.
6. Have a Designated Driver
If you’re planning on drinking a lot, make sure you have a designated driver who can take you home safely at the end of the night. Generally, that driver won’t do any drinking, so make sure they’re okay with it.
7. Don’t Forget to Tip
If you remember to tip them, bartenders will be more likely to take care of you. So, tip them to your liking, and more if they have done a great job in giving you a good time!
8. Dress for Comfort
Choose comfortable shoes and clothing you won’t mind walking around in all night. Sure, you might often be sitting, but you’ll also be moving from one bar to the other, and you want something comfortable to be worn on your body and feet.
9. Stick With Your Friends
It’s always more fun to a pub crawl with a group of friends. Plus, it’s safer than going alone. So, grab some of your friends to go along with you and enjoy a moment in time that you’ll remember for the rest of your life!
10. Pace Yourself
This is the most important tip of all. You may be super tempted to drink all the drinks at one bar, but remember, you’ve got a long night ahead. You don’t want to be dead drunk by the time you get to the second or third bar. In fact, you don’t want to find yourself dealing with alcohol poisoning, which can prove fatal! So, pace yourself and be patient. Just enjoy the drinks slowly. Sooner or later, you’ll start feeling the alcohol kick in!
11. Don’t Forget Your ID
You need to bring your ID wherever you go. Remember, bars may ask for your identification, along with the authorities. With an ID, they can quickly identify who you are, whether just to make sure you’re old enough or for other purposes.

So much fun!
It was really fun, a nice group of people. Me and my friend managed to get to know some of the other people! The guides were really friendly and helpful! The first bar was okay drinks didn't taste the best but they were unlimited. The other bars and the club were really cool, made it better when you get chatting with everyone! Would defo do it again.
Highly recommend
For 27 euros, we got our money's worth, in the first hour, there were an all-you-can-drink, beer, wine, and shots, and the operator also personally handed it over or poured it into his mouth. In the second pub, a gin and tonic cost about 10 euros, and there was a free welcome shot. Then to a multi-story club just off Charles Bridge which was ok, no card payments or euros accepted. If you want to have a little party with strangers, give it a try, but taking a little initiative doesn't hurt when you talk to them 🙂
