I was backpacking around Europe, and the Prague City Pass really saved my budget. I was able to visit Prague Castle, the Astronomical Clock, and the Charles Bridge Museum. My favorite part was the Vltava River cruise because I learned a lot about Prague's history from the audio guide. What I loved the most about the Prague City Pass was that I could use public transit and have transportation to the airport!
My husband and I spent three wonderful days in Prague exploring all around the historic center, so a 3-day pass was the perfect choice for us because it included every landmark we wanted to see. The best part was having guided tours. We especially enjoyed the tour of the Prague Castle district. The guide spoke fluent English and took us all around the castle.

USE THE PRAGUE CITY PASS FOR GUIDED TOURS
The Prague City Pass includes various guided tours that will help you get a better understanding of the city's history. As a good starting point, we suggest participating in the regular Tour of the Old Town & Jewish Quarter. This guided tour gives a good overview of the historical center based around the Old Town Square. Here, you will see the Cathedral of Our Lady before Týn and the Old Town Hall with the Astronomical Clock. Later, you will visit the Jewish Quarter and learn about the turbulent history of the Jewish community. As a side note, for those intrigued by the Astronomical Clock, this Prague Pass also grants free admission. If astronomy and the history of science are your thing, we suggest the tour of the Klementinum Astronomical Tower and Baroque Library. Another guided tour that takes you around the center is the Charles Bridge and Lesser Town Tour. When you feel thirsty and want to indulge in a good beer or two, you may take part in the Pilsner Urquell Experience! One of the most popular guided tours available for any holder of the Prague City Pass is the Prague Castle District Tour. The tour only allows you to see the Prague Castle complex from the outside. Later, you may enter the landmark that intrigues you with the Prague City Pass!
PRAGUE CASTLE COMPLEX AND THE VLTAVA RIVER CRUISE
The Prague Castle complex is an imposing structure perched above the Vltava River. Start your exploration by visiting the Old Royal Palace. Its foundations date back to the 9th century! Boasting the robust and sturdy Romanesque architecture is the famous St. George's Basilica. It is one of Czechia's oldest churches. Next, head out to the largest cathedral in Czechia, the Gothic-style St. Vitus Cathedral. Later, take a stroll down the Golden Lane. This is a picturesque street full of colorful old houses where the king's craftsmen, goldsmiths, and castle guards used to live. After visiting the Prague Castle, we suggest the Vltava River Cruise for spectacular views of the city center. Sailing upstream, you will pass by the Old Town and enjoy seeing many famous landmarks. The Vltava River Cruise also includes an informative audio guide, so don't forget to bring your headphones!
EXPLORE PRAGUE'S MODERN LANDMARKS
Although primarily known for its rich history, Prague is also a vibrant and bustling metropolis. There are numerous modern landmarks you can enjoy exploring. Here's an idea for architecture lovers. We recommend visiting the Dancing House Gallery, the House at the Black Madonna, and the DOX Center for Contemporary Art. For families with kids and those young at heart, exploring the miniature world of model railways at the Railway Kingdom is a must. Other awesome places to visit with your family are the Prague Zoo and the Prague Botanical Garden.
PRO TIP
If you walk just behind Wenceslas Square to Jungmannovo náměstí, you can find the world’s only Cubist lamppost. Prague is the only city that used this geometric art style for street design. Built in 1912, this concrete lamppost looks like a stack of stone pyramids and has a small stone bench at the bottom.

FUN FACT
Look up while walking down Husova Street, and you will see a lifelike statue of a man hanging from a roof by one hand. Created by Czech artist David Černý in 1996, this fiberglass sculpture shows the famous psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud. Because it looks so real from the ground, tourists often mistake it for a real person in danger. It has caused so much panic over the years that emergency services have been called multiple times to "rescue" it.
